Butter Cookies

Butter Cookies (for cookie press)

1 lb. butter or margarine (soft)

 

2 cups sugar

 

4 eggs

 

2 tsp vanilla

 

2 tsp baking powder

 

1 tsp baking soda

 

2 Tbs cold water

 

7 cups flour

 

pinch of salt

 

Mix all ingredients well. Using a cookie press, make Christmas trees, wreaths, or any shape you want. Press onto sprayed cookie sheets. Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from trays and allow to cool on racks.
